This Lent, our theme for worship is Driven to Discomfort, as we examine
the times in our lives, perhaps right now, when we are driven or pushed
into a situation or way of being that is uncomfortable. We hear about
people driven from their homes due to war and poverty, and their
discomfort, unsure of what the next day will bring.
Our discomfort may be a change in a relationship, good health, our work,
our community or our financial stability. In the sacred stories about Jesus,
we discover God is present in the midst of our discomfort, surrounding us
with her love, and giving us strength.
