St. Columba Youth
As per usual, St. Columba youth were a big part of our very successful Marché held on Nov. 20 & 21. They prepared and packaged candy on Nov. 14 and then helped serve all the meals during the Marché. People who attended had so many positive comments to make about our wonderful youth – the visitors were really able to relax and enjoy their meals.
There will be two youth activities in December. On Friday, Dec. 11, youth and Cindy will help set up, clean up and serve meals at the Welcome Hall Mission in downtown Montreal. Then, a week later, on Fri. Dec. 18, youth are invited to help Bonnie, Martina and Euridice, organize and pack all the Christmas baskets to be delivered on behalf of the CAC.
After Christmas, in January, the Church of St. Andrew & St. Paul, has once again invited us to join them in their annual retreat at Villa St. Martin on Gouin Blvd. This year the retreat takes place during the weekend of Jan. 8 – 10. The retreat is always one of the highlights of the year and an opportunity to interact with other Christian kids of similar age.
Then, in February, we hope to provide an opportunity for parents in our church and local community to have a Valentine’s Date Night on the evening of Sat. Feb. 13. The youth will provide the childcare so the parents can enjoy a nice romantic evening.
More details about these last 2 events will follow shortly.
