St. Columba’s Diamond Jubilee Celebration
October 18-20

 

Join us for the weekend of October 18 to 20 when we celebrate 60 years of creative ministry.
Our theme is A Diamond In The Rough, the call to polish the brilliance God has given us in order to serve our community and world.

 

The Schedule

Pub Night     Friday, October 18 – 19h30

A casual jazz club night at the church featuring the music of Richard Ring and Joe DiLauro. Richard and John will provide some subtle jazz sounds as we gather to renew friendships and make new ones. BYOB. Pub style snacks available for sale.

 Dinner and Talent Show     Saturday, October 19
17h00 – Cocktails
18h00 – Dinner

Come for a fabulous dinner catered by Nadia Prevost, our new food ministry coordinator, followed by an evening of old fashioned entertainment from fellow St. Columbans. Children are welcome to join us or if they prefer, a room will be set aside for kids’ activities. BYOB.

 

Worship and Lunch      Sunday, October 20 – 10h00

Worship will feature Allen Aicken, Paul Scott, and Ian Fraser exchanging memories of ministry at St. Columba over the past 40 years and how God’s Spirit has been active among us. At lunch following worship, we will be traveling back in time by featuring  favourite recipes from St. Columba cookbooks.

Tickets – $35 per adult, $10 per child

We have decided to ask for a contribution to cover the cost of the entire weekend. If you can only come on Friday night, we simply ask for a donation to cover our costs.
